You are talking to an AI

Every companion on AI Companions is an AI character. There is no human on the other end, at any tier, at any price. We display this on every chat screen and we do not offer a mode that hides it.

What it cannot do

• It is not a therapist, doctor or crisis service. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a crisis line.
• It can state things that are false with complete confidence. Do not rely on it for factual or medical questions.
• Its memory is bounded. It remembers your conversation history, but not perfectly and not forever.
• It has no feelings, intentions or awareness, however convincingly it writes about them.

What happens to what you write

Your messages are used to write a reply and stored so your companion has memory. Only your account can read them. We do not sell conversation data and we do not hand it to anyone else to train their systems. Delete a conversation and it is gone.

Regulatory note

Article 50 of the EU AI Act requires that people be told when they are interacting with an AI system. We consider that the floor rather than the target, which is why this page exists and why the disclosure appears in the product rather than only in the terms.
